The pace of this game is easily one of the biggest problems. In previous Mass Effect games, there was a perfect balance between action and story. In this one you'll get to shoot for a minute, then drive for a while, then hour of info dumps, and maybe you will get another mission before you have to quit playing.

It's a good game with some real rough edges? Again, outside of the animation being generally rough I've still only seen a couple of bugs, and they've been comedy visual goofs rather than any real mechanical impact. The UI sucks all round. The story is interesting enough despite some atrocious lines scattered throughout a mostly adequate script. Beyond that though, it's fun to poke around and explore on the planets, and the combat is a riot so long as you don't play it like a cover shooter. It's got ups and downs, but the hyperbole around this game is loving off the charts. I guess when the issues are real giffable that happens.

I'll say this for the loot system: new guns are dropping/being found with a satisfying regularity. I was afraid I'd have to craft everything, but after every couple of fights I have something new to try out. Shame that you can't just equip them on the fly.
