Try the other way, and see if it's different. If not, yeah, your eyes are broken.

But I can see several dozen dickbutts overlapping. When you don't have brokebrains, do you see one dickbutt with some 3d illusion, or several?

mind the walrus posted:I cross my eyes. I look through. It never goddamn works. Did like, half of the global population agree to gently caress with the other half? I can basically just lock my eyes and do it now. I had a bunch of books from when I was a kid, and that helped me do it. Basically, there's a vertical pattern in the image. On the books, they used to have two dots at the top of the page. When you go crosseye (or whatever the reverse it called), you see four dots. But when you can get the double to line up and only see 3 total dots, the pattern lined up, and you can see it. Another trick was to look past the page into the distance. Then your eyes were focused past the image. Without moving your eyes, you move the picture up so that it enters your line of sight, and your eyes are already focusing usually in the right way. Here's an image with those dots that might help. Put it at the top of your screen, and try to focus on something behind your monitor. https://proxy.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2F4-dVIc9jNwo%2Fmaxresdefault.jpg&f=1

I recently bought massive brush set for Procreate. So many excellent brushes. The artist just wanted a donation of whatever we wanted. I only gave 5 bucks because I am broke and am just using them for a hobby. However, I'm hoping I will find a job eventually and will probably go back and pay quite a bit more for more brushes and pallettes from him, but still probably not enough to support him. I'm really hoping that companies don't just order their artists to get the brushes for free and that they pay a decent price for his hardwork and technical expertise. I grabbed the pack I did because there are a lot brushes that are fantastic for adding volume to things. But, realistically, with a lot of the brushes in the pack that I don't use, any jackass could make a full, really lovely nature scape. So I kinda expect people with an ipad to use those brushes and get paying gigs where people compliment their skill when they did nothing but download a brushset without paying anything. Magic eye trick #17 Put a reflective sheet like lamination over it, (or on a screen) then focus on a reflection in the surface instead of the image. I trained myself this way when the were first big in the 90s and now I have a hard time NOT seeing them. Sometimes random poo poo like sidewalk cement lines up for me and goes 3D lol

I feel like all this exposure for work talk is helping me understand the concept of being triggered. I'm a GIS consultant, which in layman's terms means I set up mapping systems or design maps for organizations. Setting up mapping systems usually garners a better customer base because if a company or individual knows they need to hire a GIS professional in the first place, they've already asked their IT guy to do it, and have subsequently learned it's its own beast and not something everyone can do. Cartography design, though, holy poo poo. People do not realize the amount of time and money that goes into making maps. I need $3,000 a year in software licenses alone, and this doesn't include my plotter, material costs, computer hardware costs, field equipment, etc, etc. It's like all the worst parts of being a graphic designer mixed with all the worst parts of being a computer toucher. "Yes, could you please make a map of all 4000 properties our real estate company manages? Updated every month? No, we don't have any geographic data, just a list of 4000 misspelled addresses. Make the symbol for each property our company logo. No, our new logo. And each one has to be legible. On a 24 x 36 map. Can you print us 300 copies? We need it in an hour. We can discuss your pay if we like your work." This is why I have implemented a $100 consultation fee for all new customers, which gets you a 2-hour on site consultation that acts as a deposit towards any further contracts. It weeds out a lot of the fuckery.

I use the ESRI and Adobe suites, personally, but I'm just a crappy, early career one man operation. I couldn't even guess what that guy makes; in house GIS analysts go for anywhere from 30,000 to 120,000 or more depending on industry, experience, and location, but if he's worth that much in datasets and using specialized analysis software I'm gonna guess he's making bank.
