The most common one was “Don’t let him get away with it!”, referencing the lockdowns. My dudes, there’s problems with Dan Andrews’ pandemic handling sure but that’s just about in the rear view mirror. It’s nearly 2023. Edit: The more pertinent issue for the Libs is that no one knows who they are anymore. Some of my coworkers mistook Matthew Guy as the person who drove through the fence as late as last Friday. jeffreyw fucked around with this message at 12:38 on Nov 26, 2022 |

So I’m in QLD but I love watching libs get their asses handed to them, so now that I’m home from work I want to go back and watch one of the channel’s election coverage - which one would you say is going to be the most entertaining from a ‘watch assholes gnash their teeth and wail’ perspective?

Not abc. Dan just finished his election speech. The lib here, if they go back to him, seems half asleep. Also numbers ALP: 50 LNP: 24 GRN: 5 in doubt: 9 Totally wipe out.

My big observation of Matthew Guy is I always forget what he looks like the moment I am no longer looking at him. It's actually incredible, it's like he was made in a lab where they were creating the blandest human being imaginable.

According to ABC, Labor will lose 1 seat to the Greens and gain 2 off the Liberals. I gotta say the people of Victoria must be sick of Dan Andrews and his big gobbermint.

Best I can tell, someone Labor adjacent (or maybe in the party or something) who works for some org that I guess represents the poor but has a history of being really, really lovely to poor people and just recently has gone on the attack whining about lazy welfare recipients and dogpiling and trans woman for daring to question her.

These days "think tank" is what a lobby group full of brainwashed fuckwits with a horrible agenda call themselves to make themselves seem authorative. For reference, people friendly to the IPA would regularly refer to it as this before the Abbott govt demonstrated to the world what they actually are.

The one thing I'll give him is at least he gave a very definite defeat speech, saying very straight up, fair election, I lost. Know here it's fortunately just a given, but looking at all the crap in US about "rigged election" was still very good to hear. Far right here crazy enough as it is.

two of the seats were heavily redistributed, one to be barely notionally nationals and one to be notionally labor (and the independent retired in that seat), and the third independent apparently backed a bunch of controversial government decisions in that area including school mergers or something so it was fairly ideal circumstances for them to win seats off the independents
