Harrow posted:Lots of weapons/clothing options. You can ditch the Vault suit within like a minute of leaving the vault. I haven't ditched it, though, unlike every other numbered Fallout. The extra energy resistance plus my armor's physical resistance balance out quite nicely, and I can see it being useful for a while yet. It's a good way to encourage using the thing, for once.

Goddamn it! No Southpaw controls... Why does this still happen in 2015? I guess I have to play a melee character like in the previous games, until a hack comes out. (Aiming with my right thumb is just stupid for me, I'm not ambidextrous at all...)

Yeah, I'm definitely still carrying it around. I haven't modded it much yet or worn much armor over it, but maybe that'd be a good idea. I need to find a suit or a turtleneck or something so I can finally look like Archer.

Companions in this game are hot garbage. They actually have worse AI than 3. Why yes, feel free to stand there in the middle of the room doing nothing during this fight. Turn your back to the guy shooting you and stare at me instead. Cool, thanks for running up to the enemies and then leading them back to me when I'm trying to sneak. Nice, you just stand between the person I'm talking to and I in the cutscene. That's helpful.

Geostomp posted:So what's the consensus on the more useful SPECIAL stats this time? Agility is where it's at. I'm finding it hard to envision a build which doesn't have a good amount of it. Other than that, they're all good but you want at least 3 in Endurance for Life Giver because you get a lot less starting life in this version of the game than the others. If you want to pick locks that's Perception 4. If you want to hack Computers that's Intelligence 4. Though there's a companion that will let you do it without needing the perks, so it's not vital. But yeah, Agility to at least 5 I'd say. Endurance 3. Then whatever you want. Fans fucked around with this message at 16:28 on Nov 10, 2015 |

It feels like it should be 8 or 3 depending on your viewpoint.

Everything in this game is way quicker and loves to get in your face. Ghouls will jump a dozen feet like a torpedo into you which is a bit unnerving. Security robots are genuinely terrifying this go around because of how relentless and capable they are. Even if you disable the limbs of the thing they'll get in your face for their end of life nuclear detonation.
