they should just forfeit home court advantage for game 1. that and stop giving out t-shirts. This is like the third time they've printed a shirt that was dumb/not the right colour.

you literally think a person saying their NBA team of choice being better than the fucking 76ers is a 'schtick'

a literal thing you think.

Chris Paul should gently caress with everyone and exercise his ETO to sign with the Jazz.

Not calling a time out is good and probably works more often than setting up a play unless your team is all young dudes but I'll be damned if you don't hear about it for a month when a coach does it and it doesn't work.

Interestingly, JVG (I think it was his voice) commented during the Cavs-Pacers game that he thought they shouldn't have called time before the last possession, saying that PG would be more likely to score if he could just take the ball back off his rebound and go at them. So he agrees with you

9. Milwaukee turned it over only 5 times. They averaged 14 turnovers and Toronto averages 15 turnovers generated. That's about 10 expected points they didn't get.
10 . Toronto shot 5-23 on threes. They normally shoot 36%, which means they missed out on 5 expected threes.

It should have been a close game. It was a fluke they lost so badly.

So I'm reading Zach Lowe's longass article on his 1st Team etc. picks
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19140550/zach-lowe-picks-nba-mvp-defensive-player-year-rookie-year-more-awards
So many words and the only thing he doesn't discuss is putting LeBron as 1st team all-NBA. His name doesn't come up in the discussion of the choices, it's just something understood to be true, haha

DeimosRising posted:

Hah. I've got Stockholm Syndrome because I'm thinking "Eh, still miles better than Dolan." Now unable to gently caress the team up with personnel moves, Dolan's spent the year getting into fights with fans prosecuting team legends. Everybody he doesn't like has a drinking problem. He played a kazoo on stage.

Has anyone written a thinkpiece yet about how Phil Jackson, the "Zen master" "child of the 60s", based in New York City, a cosmopolitan and diverse city, is inflexible and dogmatic about how basketball should be played, while Gregg Popovich, a military officer who values consistency and discipline, and is based in conservative Texas, is consistently able to adjust his game and work with his player's strengths in a pragmatic manner? Because that would be a nice article.

I've disliked Phil Jackson for longer than alot of you guys have been alive (I hated the Bulls with the burning intensity of a thousand suns in the 90's) and I'm endlessly happy that nearly everyone else has finally come around to the fact that he's an overrated hack who was lucky enough to be associated with Michael Jordan (who I hated even more than Phil Jackson, but that's because he was really good and not on my team).

hmm
Doc's philosophy is getting back on transition D, but honestly against this Utah team who make it hard for opponents to score with their defense, the Clippers would really benefit from going after offensive rebounds. The Clippers out rebounded Utah 40 - 34.

I haven't watched Utah much this year, but I think picking offensive second chances over Utah's transition offense would benefit the Clippers.
