Can't really make a Spotify playlist, since I'm sure a quarter of the songs I posted aren't on Spotify. drat though /\ now I gotta go through that playlist, in order to update mine. Keep the music coming! I DJ about one gig per month and love being able to mix it up with some funky, synth grooves.

Does Bandcamp let you do playlists? I feel like that should be a thing. The only other places I can think of where everything synth would be is youtube and soundcloud

Sunglasses Kid, Robert Parker and Matt Kwid should be right up your alley with the funk stuff. The worst is when people put up a track but give you no way to buy it or download it, and like you say Spotify or Google Music and other streaming services will only have a fraction of what's out there. Here are those artists I mentioned and some other ones I found that I am not sure have been mentioned yet. https://robertparkerofficial.bandcamp.com/ https://soundcloud.com/sunglasseskid https://soundcloud.com/mattkwid/sets/tek-volume-1 https://soundcloud.com/po-one https://soundcloud.com/waveshaper-2 http://effoharkay.bandcamp.com/album/aerannis-ost https://modernsmusic.bandcamp.com/ https://soundcloud.com/san-dingo https://soundcloud.com/mooginizer EDIT This is so drat good KakerMix has a new favorite as of 05:14 on Sep 20, 2015 |

/\ Gonna have to check those out when I have some time to sit down and go through everything. This song deserves it's own post, separate to the playlist. Just recently got MGSV. Last weekend, I was stoned and this came on, during the intro.... Midge Ure - The Man Who Sold the World https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLoytewvn0g Such an amazing version of "The Man Who Sold the World." 80s middle-eastern, tripstep, throwback, mashup D&B I really love the intro, especially the "play tape cassette" sound effect followed by a little high-pass filter that makes you feel as though your listening to it through a walkman, with mediocre headphones. The ending is wonderfully drawn out, which can make for great remix samples or an easy transition. I just wish that at some point, it dropped the percussion and isolated the drum beat. I might wind up to re-creating the drum beat in Ableton so I can gently caress around with it a bit. liquorlanche has a new favorite as of 18:39 on Sep 25, 2015 |

Joe Der Maus posted:Beyond the Black Rainbow is loving nuts and I love it. Same, but I hate it. Whoever cut the trailer deserves an award, they make it look somewhat interesting but it turns out the trailer is essentially the film with all the long pauses cut out. It's a bad film, made badly by people who've seen good films and think that qualifies them to make something along those lines. So utterly out of their depth, and the cinematography was a nightmare full of technical headaches. Soundtrack is good though. I wish there was something that did the neon landscape some justice but without the added humour. Kung Fury was shite, Moonbeam City is fun but they felt it had to be an out and out comedy (which is fair, it's a Comedy Central show after all), Turbo Kid is really fun but again it relies on humour. I wanna see a ton of 80s throwback that's done completely straight, it can be over the top still but not in a "we need to add actual jokes to this" way.

I think most of them are afraid doing a straight up homage would be "boring" that's what happens when we remember 80s movies through trailers of the most exciting and ridiculous moments. Nobody wants to remember the long shots of people walking and staring at things

I was looking forward to it so much, and even if the movie wasn't such an incredible bore (maybe excluding the flashback to the '70s) the last 10 minutes would have ruined that anyway. Whoever thought that turn was a good idea?

I have a fantasy of making a movie or TV miniseries based in the Shadowrun universe as it was described in second and third editions. Cyberdecks, wires, chunky keyboards, future-80s hair, chrome eyeballs, elf wizards with way too much hairspray so they all look like David Bowie. In my head it's so cool~

Daniel Deluxe - Star Eater https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHNakk1oM7g Spotify version This track blew my mind when I first heard it. Such a heavy hitter! The Fauns - 4am (Power Glover remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ogSc9cA1ik Spotify version This is a much more "quiet" song, but drat if it isn't great. Also check out Motorcycle Cop from the same EP. Jon Hopkins - Collider (Karenn remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGX-sZy2NyM Spotify version I guess I should give a warning, this song is hard techno unlike the other tracks. Still, it sends chills up my spine every time I listen to it.

Drop to command line (win key+r then type cmd), go to the main folder and type Dir /s > MP3.txt This'll spit out a text file of that folder and all sub folders. Remove the /s if you don't need the subs.
