 Went to watch an open mic with my friends, got drunk and sketched for the first time in awhile. Been feeling a bit creatively dry; anxious for school to start up so I have more outside directed projects

For creative dry seasons I like to look at pictures of animals or ugly selfies for inspiration. Go for the weird underwater stuff and/or the aug thread. Combine results. I dunno is this is how other people look for inspiration? Post Your Favourite Inspirational Thing. I'm pretty far from a drought atm though, check out this shew. In. SPAAAAACE!

sorry for the politics but i was trying a hotline miami kind of thing...... the speed hides the animation flaws but i feel like it kind of makes it look lazy?

The blood coming out of the eyes is recognizable, but a little weird looking as solid lines-I think everything else reads okay

Yeah, although I know what it's supposed to be the continuous line looks like a solid form instead of a stream-you could prob solve it by making it a flowing dashed line (pretty easy with tweens if you're doing it in flash)

I really like the contrast between the varying wood texture and the large, clean areas of colour. Sorta makes it look like the colours "hover" just above the wood. Is there a coat of clear laquer between the wood and the paint? I made a granny valkyrie.

Awesome, love the colors. I just sketched this self-portrait like 30 minutes ago. Mechanical pencil. Trust me that it looks very much like me, kinda surprised tbh. Not the most flattering but by far the most accurate self-portrait I've done.
