Profootballtalk reported earlier this month that Elliott planned to hold out beyond America's borders. If it sounds like Zeke is going to party, he is actually going to get ripped like he did during his 2017 suspension. There have not been any updates on movement in contract talks since Zeke no-showed for the start of Cowboys camp.

I've been playing it and I like it. It really doesn't have a whole lot to offer over last year, but there are new animations, it looks better and plays a little better too. It's true that it's a cynical cash grab with almost no extra work put into it over last year's version, but it's also true that it's a fun football game. I've been playing the story mode where you play as a college QB for a couple games, then get drafted and lead the Broncos (I'm not sure if it's the Broncos every time or if that just happened to me) through the preseason and then the season. I'm really enjoying myself and learning quite a bit about football too.

I think what we're seeing in that video is these new superstar x factor poo poo where certain players have special powers, and somehow they figured out a way to cheese it. I think it's the one for quarterbacks where the first tackle always fails, but then they're resetting the power somehow.

Anyways, you can play it right now for 15 bucks a month. I'll probably play it a month or two and then cancel that poo poo (and then pirate it when it eventually comes out so I can enjoy single player).

I can't even find where online mode is. I kinda wanna try it to see if I'm actually good and not just good at victimizing the AI.

Is online all Ultimate team? Because I don't do microtransaction bullshit and I'm not remotely interested in buying e-cards or whatever other retarded poo poo they've got. I did play the MUT thing a bit and it was sort of fun with the missions so I'll keep playing it so long as I don't have to pay real money

If anyone on PC wants to play hit me up in PMs, although you'll also have to explain to me how we do that

Madden on PC is great because you can pay for a month of the Origin subscription, play it until real football starts, then forget about it forever.

Franchise mode now grants stars and superstars different abilities that grant in game bonuses to the player. These can be developed over seasons. So let's say I scout and draft an RB at the end of the first round. Good RBs are always available late, so he has a Star development rate. If he plays really well over a season, and does something great like win a rushing title, he might graduate to superstar. Then he gets a special ability depending on the type of player that he is. If he continues to play well over another season he might turn into an x-factor and develop another trait. This stuff is all tied to natural development, so the RB may have started at a 77, turned into an 83 by the end of the first season, and be somewhere in the 90s when he turns into an x-factor. I think the number of natural stars that you can find in the draft has been tuned down a bit, so this system encourages me to play more regular season games, instead of running drafts and simming to the postseason like I usually do. I usually play offense only, but if I have a defensive project I'll even play that side. Developing the players is fun.

Although you might have to turn the difficulty up because you can regularly rush for 300 yards a game against the computer.

Yeah I'm keeping the difficulty on hard. There are already tons of exploitable elements in the AI to let it be any easier, and I like to lose games (or have to try really hard to win them) occasionally. Beating the Chargers with the Broncos who drafted my QB was really freaking hard, although for some reason the Chiefs were easy

I haven't started franchise mode but I'm excited to do so. I generally like to play all the regular season games, makes it feel more real and the result of actual effort. Do you play against other people online?

No devin is the one who alligator'd the game winning touchdown in the playoffs against the Saints in 2017 that would have beat them on the last play of the game essentially.
