Thq was weird because for the entire nes, Gameboy, and snes era they were an absolutely garbage game company. They were no different than LJN as in if you saw their logo on a game, you knew it was terrible.

I guess they got their act together around the time the internet became popular but it's crazy how bad the quality of their games were compared to their later titles. I remember being shocked they didn't simply change their name or something. Those Home Alone games were horrendous.

Edit: lol

Thq also never developed anything good but they did publish the first stalker game. Epic!

The GameCube is a cube without the Game Boy Player, and it continues to be a cube with the Game Boy Player

I remember getting Homeworld for Christmas the year it came out and that loving game manual and technical manual that came with it kept me occupied for days. Our PC couldn't run the game for some reason and I didnt even get to play it until years later

i miss games not having loving hours of unavoidable cinematic walking sequences. i tried to play the campaigns of the newer call of duty(s) recently just as a fun shooty game to unwind and its like 15 minutes of killing russians for every 45 of slowly following people through setpieces while they exposition at you
