Religious victory is a dumb condition, if you don't found a religion or get converted by an AI going for it it's basically impossible to stop them short of conquering that player

There should be a smug atheist great person you can get to battle religious victories regardless of your civ's religion status

The religious victory is definitely the one that deserves the biggest overhaul IMO. Can you turn it off yet? I know victory conditions were togglable in most Civ games, but I can't remember if it usually comes with launch. I always turn the Win by Turns one off, even though, realistically, you always win before you get there, because it would be really unsatisfying.

I will buy this video game once I am sick of BF1. Unless COD is really good or Planet Coaster gets good reviews.

I don't think it's something you have to watch out for unless you're playing on the higher difficulty settings and playing against a religious-oriented Civ. In that case, I do think the AI is likely to unit spam its way to victory. It's get fixed in the first expansion, and until then, I think I'd sort of prefer to turn it off. Away all Goats posted:I put 500 hours into Civ 5 and think Civ 4 is still the best game of the series yeah, same. Civ 5 isn't bad, Civ 4 just was really good at hitting the sweet spot for level of complication. I think Civ 6 has potential once the inevitable patches and expansions are out, though.
