Eat my ass
Lol I haven't done the raid either. The random clan I got invited too gives me plenty of free gear sans the shaders.

I did the raid twice but none of the gear looks cool enough for me to want to put any more effort into getting it beyond getting the weekly welfare engram.

This is D2 man, the gear is bad and not a reason to play.

The raid is fun and good and a reason to play

Are you going to eat it?

...yes...
I did the raid a bunch but then everyone in my clan disappeared and I haven’t gotten to do the midget raid yet

From the update:

quote:

Raid armor now drops with perks that function on the Leviathan; these appear on mods that are selectable on both new drops and existing Raid armor pieces you may alread [sic, lol] have in your inventory.

So if you install the update and go to a raid armor you already had, you will find new entries in its mod dropdown. You'll have to run the raid again to get tokens to apply them, though.

These new things aren't so much "mods" as perks that cost a raid token to enable and are mutually exclusive with mods.

So assuming I've got armor, and got Calus tokens, I can have new raid mod-equipped gear on Tuesday without running the raid again?

Or is there some new type of token I need

Raid was legit good imho but lacked staying power for a variety of reasons, only a few of which were intrinsic to the raid itself.

MechaSeinfeld

I did the raid a bunch but haven't had the interest to try and do the lair. I'd do the raid more if it featured clever and/or satisfying encounters that showcased the best aspect of the game (shootin') instead of coordination checks that can go balls up depending on the stability of six people's connections coupled with lousy in-game physics. By the end I liked doing the bits in between the four encounters than the actual raid stuff. It just seemed like more effort than it was worth.

I think I've had an encounter fail maybe twice because of weird physics stuff? And there's plenty of shooting in every single encounter depending on your role?

I mean there's stuff to definitely complain about but encounter design is definitely not one of them

Gauntlet is NOT fun to do for the 10th+ time though, I'll tell ya that

Dogs too but it's at least a 5 minute encounter

What? I love running gauntlet. It's such an easy encounter, and you even get to slam-jam Rift style.

I enjoyed it all once upon a time, it's just not fun to RE-do Gauntlet for the many-eth time, since it's a Coordination Check and not a gun fight.

I've yet to do Prestige Raid so all I did during Gauntlet is sit by a totem thing and shoot a sign then shoot some guys while some guy ran and slam jammed. I hated the dogs because it was all new and it took a party like 30-45 minutes to figure out to just throw pulses and merciless on a dog.

The reason the vault of glass was so rad was because all of the “puzzles” centered on shooting enemies with your guns

Yeah you had to figure some poo poo out but it was about shooting the poo poo after you figured it.

That’s why calus is actually a pretty good fight. And that’s why the castellum is a fun thing to do. And that’s also why the gauntlet is a bit lame after a while, and why Dogs is extremely lame after a while.

Every single exchange in the game sounds like this. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that people are interested in these 'characters'. Then again I'm the idiot who bought this game to nearly exclusively play pvp so what the hell do I know?

the ui is clunky and designed by someone who clearly doesn't know how to make multiplayer work, so MHW is perfect for all you destinyheads

MHW fixes and gets rid of so many of the fiddly bits that the monster hunter series has had and series regulars just learned to deal with, but man is actually hopping into multiplayer with friends counter-intuitive and poorly explained. Still a great game though.
