I test-drove one in California before buying the MG and honestly kind of wish I'd bought the Datsun, despite the slightly questionable transmission. Upon researching, it looks like the removed the old "flag" due to things like Car dealers flagging By-Owner ads to get them out of the way of their own, and other such abuse.

I'm not sure why they bothered to put an 8.8 in it when it's set up for a 4G63 AWD drivetrain. Surely a primarily FWD transaxle isn't going to send that much power to the rear? Maybe that was just actually the easiest option in terms of parts and availability,
