I mean I'm someone who barely has an undergrad degree working a manual labor job and I get people at work on board with "The DSA thinks we should kill the boss". Like everyone talks about how ViOlEnT rHeToRiC aLiEnAtEs PeOpLe but promise a caterer they'll get to draw a razor across the throat of the people they serve food to and you'll have an ally for life.

I rarely get a bad response when I say "let's get together and stop your boss loving with you", then I switch it up on them by handing them the entirety of Capital when they actually show up

tbh the biggest problem with meetings is probably robert's rules, which turns people right the gently caress out because it's got all this weird rear end language that doesn't make any loving sense unless you've got a working knowledge of the two hundred year old, 700 page long military larp manual that we've decided to run our fuckin' org on.

Momentum is a group of socdem grad students with siege mentality. Unlike the rest of DSA, which is a wide variety of political outlooks with siege mentality, many of whom have finished grad school or are in their gap year.

For one of the SF generals they had printed out a really cool flow chart that laid out how to maneuver around a Roberts Rules based event but it's apparently impossible to find online since when I tried to find it recently I got "Robert's Rules Cheat Sheet (Page 1 of 5)" so in summary yes Roberts Rules is poison. Aren't there a bunch of other choices for confusing parliamentary procedures, someone make one that doesn't suck rear end.

I got something in the mail from national today which had me pleasantly surprised, since my dues just expired (note: National has no way for you to check for yourself when you need to pay your dues, you just have to ask your local's SC). But nope it wasn't a notice for my dues renewal, just a begging request that we donate more to national since they have fund raising goals for the year.
