bernie is the frontrunner, i think he will keep a lot of his enthusiastic base and raise an absolute shitton of money that will dwarf the rest of the field, but there's definitely a ton of uncertainty next year. he's going to get hit with a massive barrage of attack ads from every direction.

they're gonna use that, cuba, the honeymoon to the soviet union, whatever to paint him as being way out of step on foreign policy. that stuff has been floating around, but hillary never really weaponized it as after march 15 she believed the primary was largely wrapped up and didn't want to risk alienating his diehard supporters (which happened anyway lol). but actually i think probably the biggest problem facing bernie isn't even that, it's just his age. he's pretty old now and by the 2020 primaries he's gonna look even more like the cryptkeeper. in a hillary vs. bernie race a lot of people are fine with looking past that since they may have held a lot of antipathy toward hillary, but with a large field he might bleed support to younger candidates.
