If it was a manual I'd be more tempted. I do like that they went with a fake blower, as in the original.

Darchangel posted:Most attempts to restyle FDs fail, that one included, unfortunately. See, I think it's a good looking car (mostly), but it's just "good". A fully stock FD is still a pretty good looking car, I'd say the front wheel arches on that kit are the only bit that's a pass from me. The issue is that its more of a side-grade than an improvement, if that. I say that as someone who liked the kit, someone who doesn't like it obviously wouldn't even go that far. Looking at the ad, I never noticed the "more ads by this user" button. Looks like it's either some lovely dealer, or some guy making craigslist ads for people; there's 13 ads and all but two of them are outside what looks like the same Target.

Every head you buy has cracks of various severity, if they don't they'll crack the first time they get warm.

That’s actually a reasonable deal if there aren’t any glaring structural issues. It’s not a super-desirable year, but darts kept mostly the same sheet metal from ‘67 till the end of production, so it’s close enough.

Pham Nuwen posted:Now that Tom Magliozzi has sadly left us, I assume the market for Dodge Darts has dropped out. Back sometime in the mid-70s, (about when that car was new) Car and Driver had an article that I still remember the first line of. "If ever there was a kink in the hose of automotive progress, the Dodge Dart would be it." The article went on that while the Dart was actually a decent car (which would accelerate, brake, and turn pretty well when asked to), the problem was apparently the owners of them. It went on to discuss marketing and why people gravitate to different types of cars. My Dad had a '74 Dart at the time, so we had a good laugh over it.
