Goons! I figure rather then just keep talking about Dungeon of the Endless, I should show it. So come watch me die often to dumb poo poo!

I plan to start out with a really lovely build I thought about trying at work that likely won't get past floor 1, then trying a full speedy build, and then after that attempting a few more normal builds ( for me at least ). I likely won't get past the 4th floor tonight since I'm mainly loving around, but it's a good way to see how the game works.

Only going to be playing for an hour and a half or so, but should be fun/neat/really dumb. Join me!

I saw reviews where people poo poo on the game for that and a handful of references the characters make about God, but frankly I thought those criticisms were overblown because none of that really meant anything major in the game and none of it is particularly forced down your throat (it's been nearly a year since I played and if it did play more of a role, I've basically forgotten about it).

It's a neat game because it was very clearly a personal product for the husband-and-wife dev team - for crying out loud, the main heroine you meat halfway into the game is basically meant to be the wife dev - that wears all of its influences on its sleeve, but it doesn't overstay its welcome and the overall mood is funny and agreeable. It was a nice diversion that I beat after two evenings of play, and it's well worth the current price.

I got Driftmoon in a bundle or some such and enjoyed it. It's short (2 evenings is about what it took me too, iirc) and cheery.

And since you bring it up, I wasn't exactly surprised to see God get a shout-out in the credits at the end, but it never got more than slightly preachy.

Between a dead dick and voting for a GFWL game, I think I'll choose the former. I'm sure there will be chryogenic, necromantic, and/or cybernetic that will solve that one, whereas the future for GFWL seems far less bright.

How to Survive is $1.50 good. It's not particularly interesting, but I guess it's reasonably fun. It doesn't hold your hand and it drops some gently caress-yous into the new player's lap, but it runs out of tricks really quickly. Once you know the best recipes (fruit + bottled water for healing, bows or hydraulic guns, and something to stave off exhaustion), the challenge gets sucked right out.

Bring a friend: I did, and I imagine it would be kind of unbearably boring with just one player.

Also, the victory screen is funny the first time you see it, but then you realize that it's the same thing for every mission because animating road sign stick-figures is hard(?). You're getting your money's worth at this price, but I'm not kidding when I say it's worth every cent and not one more.

I'd just keep Last Light and maybe you'll return to it someday, the money can be put towards S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl/Call of Pripyat and those probably fill your wishes more in that regard.

I've only played for 5 hours but so far I quite like it actually. It's a bit janky and I suspect some bugs will crop up (though I've not encountered any so far) but the mix of RPG and survival game feels nice. If you're not a fan of the gameplay of the first Fallouts, then you'll probably not enjoy this. Combat is turnbased, rather slow and a bit clunky. I like some of the mechanics though, the noise mechanic is really nice. Solitairy zombies aren't a threat but if you get swarmed it can be very dangerous.
Feels a bit on the easy side so far though.

Also seems like a slow burner, it starts off rather slow compared to many games nowadays.

I think a lot of it will depend on your tolerance for a bit of jankyness. I don't mind much personally and I think there's a pretty fun game here with interesting interactions to have with other characters. If you're sensitive to bugs and jankyness, you might not like it and it may be worth to wait for a bigger sale.

That's offline from your friendslist/steam community, not offline mode. Offline mode you can access by clicking on Steam button in the very top left corner and is on the dropdown menu. It runs steam free of any internet connection (and you are limited to what games you already have downloaded and installed).
