The EO thread has a guy from reddit who has been doing grr goon posts for a while, and his avatar is a goose. I honestly thought at first it was some black hand poo poo to foster resentment and suspicion against goosefleet, but I can be a bit paranoid. It seems to genuinely be a coincidence or something.

Eh, EE is a vastly chiller game than EO, there's not really a need to do false-flag agitprop. Hell, there's barely a consistent identity of coalitions due to no sov, major powers in this game are alliances. For people on the fence, the game's quite lively and fun to play, at least with Gooseflock. In Online it was a bit tough to really communicate with other people, so even in GSF I spent most of my time either trading, crafting, or blazing. PvP fleets seemed to usually be giant F1 affairs, and there wasn't much impetus to try other parts of the game so I never did. Echoes is different - because there's no sov, citadel defenses don't matter and all scales of PvP have strategic value. I've done PvP from pretty much day one and it's been on fleets ranging from small 10+ formations to a 200-ship fleet (with no TiDi lmao); there's always something different to do that concretely helps your team. Lotta words to say "TOILET GAME GOOD" but drat it, toilet game really is good.

Just had a shitshow of a fight in Delve. Over 1k in local, I learned a thing, and I have a question. First, did you know you can toggle a capsuleer outpost's system-wide visibility on and off at whim? You probably did, but this was news to me. Seems pretty good. The question is: what emulator/settings am I looking for to be able to avoid the crash/reconnecting loop? Loading grid just wasn't possible, I disconnected every 30 seconds for at least 20 minutes without ever loading grid fully during that time.

The phones/tablets handle the big fights a little better. Switch to them if you can. Most of the framerate issues appear to be related to ui rendering. There's a lot of transparent items being rendered and the overview window is also noticeably slow to update and render even in non-stressed situations. Closing the overview helps a little bit - but that's not very helpful as you are now unable to target things. If you go into settings you will see that it still draws the 3d scene behind it without any indicators or icons -- and it is silky smooth.

You can toggle everything on your overview. You toggle the station/outpost so that everyone docked in the station doesn't take up space.
