Apparently the game was temporarily suspended due to fans throwing stuff on the field?

Did Aaron Judge literally take a poo poo on home plate or something?

Didn't the Rays go to the World Series last year? As in, "the Yankees lost to the defending AL Champions"? Why is that some federal crime to Yankees fans?

From the segment of social media that I’ve observed it’s probably more to do with the way that people are watching the game. They think it’s football and they’re living and dying with each play.

Team has been mediocre to bad for sure but nothing to justify the hog behavior from last night.

If you’re a real deal baseball fan you know that a bad 13 game stretch is nothing in the big picture. But if you’re going to a game? Probably don’t know that

I think a lot of it is a real superiority complex some of the fanbase has developed over teams like the Rays and Jays over the last couple of decades. So "losing to the Rays" is supposed to be some kind of indignity. They're not a good up and coming playoff team. The Jays aren't loaded with exciting young players. They're just the teams the Yankees are supposed to beat because they have for awhile. So its a "disgrace". Which is an insane thing to say about a simple baseball game.

If the Orioles ever start winning the Bronx will burn again.

After the Cardinals dropped like 13 on the Nats, I made a joke that I was looking forward to them scoring 10 runs over the next 3 games. Guess the joke's on me, they're at 2 runs over the last 2!

I was thinking about more Manfred rules and came up with 'a Grand Slam is a game-ending instant win, regardless of score/inning/home field advantage'. And now I'm wondering how often a team gets a grand slam and still loses.

Yeah def, I've remained a big Polanco believer through thick and thin. Thought he was taking a lot of good at bats, hitting hard balls that found gloves, getting burned on some calls early on and eventually luck would turn. Really gratifying to see him getting some results

Polanco’s arm is cooked and hitters can turn routine singles to right into doubles at will. That’s absolutely the Pirates fault too, if they’d have taught him how to slide into bases properly his shoulder might still work.
