IIRC most, if not all of the spies Germany sent over with that batch weren't exactly hardcore Nazis, and more than one only signed up so that they could get back to the US and away from the war. The moderates hold a lot of power in Iran right now. Kind of like they did in 2001, before some idiot labled them as part of the Axis of Evil, embarrassed them, and ushered in more than a decade of rule by hardliners. The ayatollah can't live too much longer, so it would be nice if the moderates could hold control of the council of experts long enough to get someone more liberal into the job.
