I mean, we're all pretty familiar with how the West selectively applies "human rights violations" such that they're only done by states that are targeted for interventionism (under humanitarian grounds), but even the principle of self-determination, especially on grounds of protecting ethnic minorities / natural language speakers has been very obviously been violated by the West in the sense that while they were willing to invoke such things when it meant the establishing of smaller nation-states like Serbia, Croatia, Kosovo, and so on, but then just buried all talk of it when it came to Crimea, eastern Ukraine, and the protection of Russian-language speakers in those areas.
