Was compelled to learn if the uncut version of Laserblast made any more sense, but dozed off before Roddy Mcdowall showed up.

Why Maltin thought it deserved 2 1/2 stars remains a mystery.

I've only watched a few MST movies unriffed. Jack Frost is great. Soultaker isn't bad. Werewolf is still trash.

Thanks Dom Monaghan
the uncut version of Giant Spider Invasion has more creepiness from notable rock shop owner Cousin Billy and the interesting plot detail, in a throwaway line, that Dan and Ev apparently had a baby that died leading to their misery and alcoholism

at no point is the device that goops the spider at the end made comprehensible though

She leaned forward. "We are going to assassinate the bad men of Hollywood."

It's certainly different from the usual crap from the 50s that makes it onto the show. Love the smarmy narrator.

I love the ridiculous slang and Mel Torme as a teenage delinquent. That man was born aged 45. Also by far the absolute worst way to deal with a dangerously obsessed stalker.

There is an extended scene with the dumb cops questioning the kids after Billy blows up the car. Apparently Deezen is messed up "because he saw Star Wars five times."

Charles Band really hated Star Wars.

It's one of my favorites.

There's a fancy word for parts of movies (or whole movies) that unintentionally depict the era in which they were made. The Dead Talk Back, Girl in Gold Boots, the Coleman Francis films, they all have unscripted bits of 1950s and 60s life in them and I just think it's so neat.

I've usually got a randomized episode from my Plex library playing as I work, and today it gave me Teen-age Strangler. Ever since someone in this thread pointed out that they use a sad minor key version of Yipe Stripes as night time music, it cracks me up every time.

Also I just realized for the first time that two of the main characters look almost identical (the Yipe Stripe girl and another) instead of just being the same character who just keeps switching outfits midway through scenes.

Not streaming, that I'm aware of. It's apparently only 65 minutes long, so it may not even be cut much!
