When following that method, it's worth noting that each song belongs to a group of songs that can only drop a certain subset of cards, so if you're trying to flesh out your collection, you still need to try other songs out, some of which might require extra healing via an item or even manual input for a small portion of the song.

Yep. I've pumped up my HP/STA/SPI enough that I can clear slower songs on Basic now; I'm currently chain-clearing Fighters of the Crystal to collect a ton more Ramza cards to pump my HP more. I really wish the game was a little less obtuse about how the numbers in it work, it'd be a lot easier to figure out whether pumping raw HP or defensive stats was better.

Ugh, gently caress spinning arrows. gently caress them with a passion. I'm okay with them in Versus, but high-level Quest Medleys are difficult enough without that sort of artificial difficulty bullshit.

Augh I can't handle rapid touch buttons with stylus, but I can't handle hold and slide triggers with joystick on ultimate  I'm pretty much stuck in "expert too easy, ultimate too hard" limbo

Just do a lot of Ultimate and you'll force yourself to get better I got pretty good at the hold and slide FMS trigger with analog stick but it's still really hard to get them critical. Like I consider not getting a Bad to be a success :/

It feels like the game was designed to use the touch controls so you're kinda hosed if you use a different control scheme but I've been trying to transition to touch and it doesn't feel as good.

I might keep locke and swap out the rest for some heavy hitters like cloud and sephiroth.

I've settled on ramza and terra, rydia, and shantotto. I really enjoy watching chain spam of firaga/thundaga/blizzaga faster than new enemies can spawn after rebirthing them all a few times

I think the only song I -might- get out of this pack is premonition. Maybe ovelia's theme and vivi's theme, but I'm burnt out on FMS and just enjoy how BMS play more right now.
