I think their strategy of getting the K-wing out early is working since everything else won't look like as lovely in comparison. The wookiee gunship looks like a great command and conquer hovercraft though.

Eh. Flechette torps did much the same with the added benefit of providing stress, for the same cost.

I fly DeathFire a lot and his loadout is:

Flechette Torp
Extra Munitions
Connor Net
(Optional) Lightweight Frame
Total: 25-27 points

I'm not sure that Unguided Rockets are better. Sure they're unlimited use but how often does a TIE Bomber really get more than two shots at range 2-3? It's a sidegrade at best. You lose the stress but you just need a focus to fire them, not a lock.

TIE Bombers are better when they are as slim as possible. Loading up Tomax too much usually seems like a mistake to me.

EDIT: Really, it's just good on Tomax to be fair. There's still little point in taking low-PS bombers, it's pointless on Rhymer, and Deathfire probably wants EM anyway. Might be decent on Jonus though, although he's a better TIE Shuttle anyway.

Yeah, I've been tweaking some Hux lists, myself. Nothing that I'd say is spectacular, yet. Mostly I've been riffing on this formula:

Major Stridan (32)
General Hux (5)

"Pure Sabacc" (22)
Adaptability (0)
Lightweight Frame (2)
Adaptive Ailerons (0)

"Echo" (30)

I want to play this because I think Echo might be something fun that I've never flown before. I love ships with crazy re-position options.

Those are indeed some bare-bones phantoms.

I'd strongly consider dropping Expertise (in favor of Trick Shot or Adaptability) and adding some combination of fire control systems and crew to the phantoms.

Think of FCS as a defensive upgrade on the Phantoms: it lets them evade without sacrificing offense. Especially on Whisper, who is likely to come out of most attacks with an extra focus.

Intel Agent(s) are super useful on Echo, who is squirrely enough to make the best use of it.

Agent Kallus is another good all-around crew for a Phantom.

Need some opinons on what to fly at a local store tournament this weekend. I don't get a lot of practice games in so I hardly ever get to "test" lists. I want to go Rebel with some sort of combo of the following ships/pilots:

Kanan
Dash
Rey
Cassian
Norra

Here are a couple of combos I was thinking of:

Rebel Sandwitch:

Cassian (35)
-Tactical jammer
-Title
-Rage
-FCS
-Inspiring Recruit
-Kyle Katarn

Kanan (48)
-Tactical Jammer
-FCS
-Autoblaster Turret
-Rey
-Recon Specialist

Captain Rex (17)
-Sabine's Masterpiece
-Jan Ors
Played this with some other jank lists and it was fun. The idea is to keep Rex laying down fire (I suck at trying to make this work) while Cassian/Kanan pass tokens around as needed with the Jan/Kyle/Recon/Rey combo.

Rey/Cassian:
Rey (62)
-EU
-Expertise
-Finn
-Kanan

Cassian (38)
-EU
-Title
-Rage
-FCS
-Ezra
-Inspring Recruit

Norra more, Mr. Nice Guy:
Dash (58)
-EU
-Title
-PTL
-Heavy Laser Cannon
-Kanan

Norra (42)
-Vectored Thrusters
-Title
-Expertise
-C3PO
-R2D2

Speaking of Rebel Jank, I flew a very close variant of that Hera/Ahsoka list that went 2nd at Yavin.

https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f...t%20Shenanigans

This list is incredibly fun to fly and incredibly unfun to fly against. The combo of Hera/Navigator, plus boost, plus the option to take an action (including a boost) at start of combat if Ahsoka is close enough, plus intel agent...it means you really should never get shot. And if you do, okay? You got 16 health and at least one evade token.

Basic strat goes:
Read board, decide if you think you'll need to either go straight/bank or k-turn/hard turn. Dial in a green move for the former and a red for the later. Change with Hera/Navigator if board state changes before reveal.

Evade, or boost out of arcs.

Use Ahsoka to give Hera an extra action. LANDO if you you've already evaded and a boost won't help, or if you've somehow got into a position where you'll be eating multiple attacks.

TLT something to death.

Repeat.

I kind of love this.
I am stupid with the Hera/Navigator combo when trying to plan ahead. So Hera lets you go from green to green or red to red. So b/c of this, I should always start with a green/red move. From there, Navigator will let you change to a move with the same bearing (direction?). So, I start with a 2 straight which is green, Use Hera to change that to a 2 bank to the left, which then can be changed 2 any move to the left?
I can't get my head around on what all I can do with this combo.

Dumb noob question: in a lot of these "keep Phantom docked and turret things to death" lists like this one. I see Chopper on the Phantom. Since it never deploys, what's the purpose on this? His ability can't be used on Ghost while docked, right? Is this just insurance in case things go horribly wrong and you need to undock Phantom?

The shorthand is that revealing a green lets you end up on any straight or bank, while any red lets you choose any hard turn or the k turn.

Some examples:

Reveal green two straight. Hera to green one left bank. Navigator to any other left bank.

Reveal red three right turn. Hera to red one left turn. Navigate to white two left turn.

Reveal green one straight. Navigate to white four forward. Don't use Hera at all.

Yeah, he's zero points so why not?
If you need to undock the shuttle, you can pop out with a K Turn and then take a damage to take an action

The PS3 version will (Almost certainly) be two points more expensive than the Contracted Scout, however, and there aren't any great 3 point options for missiles. One or two loaded out will certainly be deadly, but it looks like it'll be just too expensive to properly emulate classic U-Boat lists.

And unless I'm missing something, there's no way to get the salvaged astromech slot on all of them that was the lynchpin for giving triple U-Boats their near-perfect modification on munition dice. Without (pre-nerf) R4 Agromech or Overclocked R4, torps are very much at the mercy of what-you-roll-is-what-you-get.
