Also the phoenix event started today. Not a big surprise with an upgrade weekend coming up, but it kind if came out of nowhere with no notifications. Some more old event stuff in it too, as well as that ancient pre-order EMH boff.

So maybe they're going to put the old convention boffs in the Phoenix store in the order they were released.

Yeah it was a repeated TOS plot because the budget was so low they took any vague excuse to use whatever other sets or costumes were lying around the studio lot. The only reason I say it's more voyager is because TOS often didn't even bother to justify it. "Yeah the planet just evolved identically to earth.  "

I dunno, I havne't heard anything bad about him as a person. I mean, nothing on my radar about him sexually harassing kittens or groping random passers by or whatever, and he seems to have a decent grasp on insane ST nerds and how to pander to them in a good humored way. Now, does he give two shits about ST in the way nerd do about lore and the characterization of Picard and all that? I doubt it. Dude seems to look at JPL as another roll he's played, a fun one, and a lucrative one, but just another character. Frankly that's probably a healthy way of doing it, however annoying it might be for those of us with ~~opinions~~ about the ideals of starfleet or whatever.

Everything I've seen about Stewart is that he's apparently a wonderful caring guy, just something of an eccentric goof and basically nothing at all like Picard. It's not a shock that he treats Trek with all the respect it deserves (i.e., none at all).

To be the debbie downer while Patrick Stewart is all of those positive things he's also getting ancient despite aging very well. Temper your action scene expectations I guess. Hopefully he has many more years to enjoy. Loved him as Deputy Director Bullock in American Dad. Particularly the episode where he fucks Stan's daughter and Stan has to restrain himself to stop going King Kong on him to secure a promotion. Especially when Patrick Stewart/Bullock enters Stans' kitchen during breakfast wearing Hayley's pink girlie bathrobe post-shag looking for snacks before another round.
