The 5-round magazine weapons are hard to use because you have to have good aim and even if you do, you can't take out the more than 1 person per magazine. Still fun to use, though.

No but there are small ground fires that instantly burn your muddy wool uniform for 30 damage and barbed wire that will leave you in one shot range for snipers.

It needs to be a 2 shot kill to be worth it. I can usually manage 2 kills with the BAR without having to reload but it's pretty much impossible with the selbstlader 1906. Especially because the selbstlader m1916 exists with 21 more rounds between reloads. It's a shame because it sounds really good and I like the toggle lock firing mechanism but it's just not worth using.

Been trying a bunch of new guns now I have a stash of warbonds to spend. Finally got around to the Madsen MG storm, with AA sights, and I like that about as much as my beloved Benet Mercie storm. Stable, solid, kills things good. I guess the only downside to it is that it feels almost exactly the same. Still, great gun. Had a medic challenge so swapped to that on Argonne, forgetting I had unlocked the Sebsladter 1916 factory. Was shooting away with it unsure what gun I even had equipped, and it was pretty great. Tons of bullets in it, I could pop pop pop and kill two pr three dudes easily without reloading. Feels like I discovered a great gun by accident. Somehow I'm pretty great at this game right now. Even if I start chasing a specific medal, get like 0-8 on the board and decide to go back to playing normally, and still claw my way back into a positive k/d by the end of the match. I was a few hundred kills difference overall, but I've not closed the gap so I'm only 90 kills away from being positive overall. Which in a shooter, HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME. By the end of this week, I'm going to be in a very curious position. My favourite thing in the game is still playing forward scout, now have 4 service stars on the Gewehr 95 which remains the only scout gun I truly love. I just need a super pimping skin for it now, something super fancy. Had a super satisfying kill yesterday. In a fighter, I disable an attack plane. Few seconds later get the "vehicle destroyed" pop up, so I know it crashed. Annoyingly, the pilot had bailed out so no kill. Looping back round I see his parachute just about to touch down, and he takes literally two steps and I fart explosive darts over him. Sometimes, there can be no escape.

They both kill in 3 hits at any range. 🤔
