I ordered my Cameroon kit with Eto'o on the back specifically to troll the obnoxious Barca plastics at my local, does this count?

Man, that Germany home kit is loving gorgeous, but then they always have classy shirts. Simple, clean designs. I absolutely love the thin vertical strips of colour so much.

I think the difference in wearing sports shirts is a european/american thing. I mean, if you wear a football shirt to a pub or something here in the UK there's a pretty high chance you won't be allowed in. I wear mine playing 5 a side or to the gym, but I wouldn't wear one if I was going out for anything other than a pint of milk or something, I'd just feel like a twat. Doubled if it had a name on the back.

having done this on many of my jerseys (up to almost 60 now), I would say, if you have any palmolive or dish washing detergent that is a grease specialist, put this on and let it sit for a day or so before washing it... whether you then wash it by hand or in a machine... usually does the trick

Team names on the back are annoying since (it you don't follow the team) you can't easily tell who the player is.

Shes Not Impressed posted:Alright, I didn't know if anyone here used something specific for their own strategic sheep haired purposes. I still do the ghetto version I did in high school for lacrosse: cut off sleeves of an old shirt and thin as you want. and when I was talking about wearing jerseys out, I didn't mean out as in to a bar or something (unless I was watching a game there). I meant like just hanging out, bsing at a friends or like a shirt to throw on after you leave the beach. Not any place you'd be expected to be dressed up. Also, is it more annoying to hear an American call it soccer, and jerseys,'kits', or do you prefer we try to conform. I just sound like a retard either way.

If you are British and you visit the US, make sure to bring a few kits, as if you wear them around people will think you are cool. Really I find it hard to imagine being judged for wearing a football jersey.

MyChemicalImbalance posted:I think the difference in wearing sports shirts is a european/american thing. Weird. Here in the US, you hardly ever see a jersey for any sport without a name/number on the back. Picking your favorite player is part of the fun. You'd never get into a high-end nightclub with a sports jersey on, but your local bar won't give a poo poo. People wear jerseys anywhere you'd wear something casual... to the beach, parks, shopping, whatever.
