It doesn't help that 'witch-hunt' is one of the go-to metaphors for right-wing shitheels like Branco whenever there's a new investigation into Trump.

The SVB bankers literally were not bailed out. The bank is permanently closed, the executives lost their jobs, and all bank bondholders and shareholders are holding the bag; if they get anything, it'll be the leftovers after everything is wound down and everyone else is reimbursed.

One could argue that there should be a criminal investigation of SVB bankers for stuff like paying out bonuses/selling off stock right before SVB failed, but that doesn't change the fact that the SVB bankers were not bailed out.

Yes, the "tech douches" were bailed out. Most of those "tech douches" were venture capital businesses, and leaving them dry would have caused a sudden rash of business failures, all at once, with potential economic knock-on effects that could reverberate all the way down to ordinary people who are struggling to make the rent and not become homeless.

Just add this cartoon to Ted Rall's rap sheet of lies and half-truths, I guess.

It’s about trans people. They’re saying Popeye is saying he is who he was born, and the Democrat Donkey has a problem with that, as all Democrats want to force everyone to transition.

But you can also see it as Popeye opening up about being his real self, and the D Donkey is trying to help him talk about it (or treat it like a it’s a flaw, which is also accurate for many Dems). AGC I guess.

I’m not sure either but if I had to take a stab at it, it might be some lame thing about how you can’t cook in a wok on an electric stovetop (like nuclear submarines have??? idk) due to its shape.

No, I don’t get why that would be funny either.
