Maybe. But I dont think anything else has come close to the feeling of listening to Pablo 1.0 for the first time. The high-highs of Ultra Light Beam -> Father Stretch My Hands Pt 1 > Pt 2 > Famous was unparalleled last year IMO.

Tyler and Vince Staples are touring together :vince: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/tyler-the-creator-vince-staples-announce-2018-tour/

I'm going to the NYC show since Theatre at MSG seems like a rad loving venue for it (mixed standing/seating, ~5000 cap). guessing it'll sell out instantly but looks like they might have room to add another date around it if they want

i've seen videos from the Aragon and it's always seemed like literally the worst possible layout for a 5000 person venue; just a big empty box with no real balconies. NYC has a couple venues that are just big ballrooms like that but they're like 1/3 the size so it's not as bad

I'm excited for this cuz I haven't seen Vince since Big Fish Theory dropped, or Tyler outside of like hearing him far the gently caress away at an overcrowded music festival

Yeah it's just a large room. Worst sightlines in the city and bad sound in a lame neighborhood

that’s a real good stretch no doubt, and i’ll stand by an earlier assertion that all kanye albums are at worst great albums, there’s just a lot of Pablo that didn’t stick at all compared even to yeezus

Yea got on to Yung Lean on Friday and been listening to just his stuff and the Big Krit album since then

Yung Gud is just great and Lean fits the beats nicely. I wish Clams Casino hadn't almost disappeared (looked into his recent stuff but it didn't grab me, have I missed anything good since his 2011 prime?)

I had really gone off KRIT but this is his best since Return of 4eva. It's kinda poppy tho, catchy but corny.

Krit's first two mixtapes were pretty good but he just kept getting more and more boring and one-note with each release. I haven't listened in a while though maybe he's better now but I'm not gonna bother to find out.

His album is pretty good, and it does not slog on as much as a double album would seemingly slog on.

You should give his new stuff a shot.

Cool I’ll check it out then

e; I listened to most of it, it started good and had some fun songs in the beginning but kept getting more and more about god and ~the duality of man~ and that's what I really don't like about his music. This song is a good example and I feel like he's made a ton of other songs similar to this. I really hate religion though so that biases my opinion quite a bit.

The metro drop on pt1 is aoty

Speaking of which ever since the concert I'm addicted to listening to the original father stretch followed by pt 1 and its just swell

I agree with you, it can be off putting and I'm the same way but I at least appreciate his ability to tell a story through an album. Both sides of the album have a purpose and he flows in content and narrative from song to song. Those types of albums don't come this cohesive in message often.

At the very least it's got bangers, some easy listening and is his first really well mastered album (his other stuff had some REAL problems there). It was worth the money at least and I hope he can build on this.

Yeah you were right it flowed well and didn't slog at all, an achievement for an album that long. He's very talented as a rapper and producer I just don't always care about what he's rapping about I guess.

But also if you're paying for the Hawks and Kings in their current states you shouldn't expect anything good.
