The right wing political group One Nation here in Australia recently rolled out their latest candidate and it turned out that when he was a cop 15 years ago he and a few other cops kidnapped some indigenous kids, drove them 7 miles out into the bush, took their shoes and ordered them to walk back to town barefoot. One of them also threatened to cut their fingers off but the case got chucked out of court when the judge decided that the kids had gone with them voluntarily. The candidate managed to shake that off when it was brought up by journalists last week but they then discovered that he'd recently sent death threats to a former employee and had engaged in some creative backyard landscaping: .... so that political career has now ended before it even started.
