Dead end roads like that are pretty common in the burbs, it happens when developers run into corn fields and the corn field never sells.

It has lots in common so basically that's the same as Dave's 4x4 panda, but somehow less practical and capable even before the mods.

That actually looks like it is a Carson too. Carson tops are removable roofs. I think you are thinking of Landau tops.
