That Lesnar/Akebono match was shockingly good. I don't think I've ever seen Lesnar play the plucky underdog face in peril and I doubt I ever will again. It's not saying much but that has to be Akebono's best match ever. Also there was a related video for Akebono vs. Big Daddy V which I won't watch and can only assume it is one of the worst matches of all time.

When Reigns' first busted it out against Punk I was like "holy poo poo that is amazing", but now it's just a thing that happens during all of his matches. Plus he toned it down from being a running drop kick to more of a big boot, but I can fully understand that cause he'd have to take a back bump onto the mats every time he does it otherwise which would knacker his back in the long run. It can still be cool as hell though when he busts it out in an unexpected way, like the Battleground main event where he hit Kane with it, then went on a spree and hit Orton and then Cena with it straight after. None of that matters either way, cause Brock Lesnar would murder Reigns before he gets a chance to do anything.

See, I don't mind Orton's 2nd Rope DDT being hyper-telegraphed, the same way I don't mind his rest holds. I think it's good psychology because it conveys this idea that he's vindictive and hyper-methodical. People always talk about how The Viper gimmick sucks compared to his Legend Killer days, but the way he carriers himself, the way he walks, and his moveset have always sold to me this impression of being snake-like and it's easily my 2nd favorite thing about him as a wrestler right after the absurd creativity and ability he has when it comes to crazy RKO spots.

I don't like the rest holds because he uses them too often and it often kills the momentum of his matches. As for the ddt, I just don't like the forced aspect of those kinds of spots with the opponent contriving a way to be outside and leaning on the second rope. When Randy just shoves his opponent into that position I like it because it feels less choreographed and more "time to spike your face on the mat, motherfucker" which I enjoy.

Hypothesis: Cena will be booked to win at Summerslam. Analysis: This is bad for Brock Lesnar. Proposed Solution: Brock uses his ogre-esque strength and legitimate martial arts training to shoot defeat Cena like the Funks or Stu Hart would have done. If it was good enough for the 60s, it's good enough for Brock.

I remember two Brock/Show matches off the top of my head, one at Royal Rumble where Big Show was tossed around with unreasonable frequency and ease. The other I think was on TV that ended when Brock superplexed him and broke the ring. I'm sure there were scenarios where Brock was *meant* to be the underdog but all I remember is a bunch of Show getting his rear end kicked.

The Royal Rumble 03 match is my favorite because it just looks like that footage of great white sharks jumping out of the water with seals in their mouths except the seal is a 7 foot 400-something pound man. Not even Cena has ever man-handled Show like Lesnar did in that match.
