I wish Cindy had a better design because she's genuinely really likable. I can't hate someone who unironically uses the term "paw-paw"

Also if they had translated her name as Sidney, come on guys, the joke is RIGHT THERE.

Her name basically is Sidney in Japanese so they deliberately decided against that for some reason.

I remembered the behemoth fight in the Duscae demo being a pain in the rear end, so I was spending the whole time tracking it dreading having to retry if I hosed up this time, and then I basically one-shot it with a quintcast fire

They literally sell you a fire-element sword for Glad at the Chocobo place so he can reliably hit him for 9999 damage.

Dave's hunter crew have like a rural-punk thing going I dig, there's some 1920s dresses with heels and poo poo at the resort, lots of places/people have specific looks that are just the right side of believable. Honestly apart from Regis' lot and the Nif bigwigs looking like some other Final Fantasy game all the clothes are decent, just wish our yaois had more options. It sure would have been nice if there was a warning "hey stock up on magic here boss trust me" at the (tiny spoiler) lighthouse though.

Huzanko posted:Do you ever get to drive the car yourself? You can always drive the car yourself. Everybody makes big deal out of how you can drive 'manual' after chapter 3, but there's no real big difference between auto and manual. You still have control during auto and the car still stays on the road during manual. The only real difference is there's a meter at the top showing you the travel distance. FAUXTON posted:It'd be more fun to drive if the car was louder and faster. Yeah I get that it's allegedly unbecoming of royalty to have straight pipes and 1500bhp going 200mph doing donuts through Hammerhead but guess what happened to the goddamn royalty There's a poo poo-ton of car upgrade quests. My next quest is for a supercharger that makes the car go faster. So... do quests. Also Cid explains that the Empire has been kinda closed off for trade and that's made it hard to get access to machinery and special parts.

Square Enix support sent me replacement codes for the Roadtrip DLC packs. After playing some without the bonuses, I'm almost afraid that the travel coupons are going to break the game. I'm already level 29 in Chapter 3 with plenty left to do, and if I can bring the Golden Quay hotel price down to 5,000 gil over and over without any repercussion, I don't think Ignis will ever get to practice his cooking. Getting a stack of EXP and then doing hunts to earn 10k for the 2x EXP bonus was a nice objective to follow for a while, but now it feels like cheating. I think I've gamed enough levels for the chapter I'm in, though, and should probably worry less about doubling my experience and more about camping when convenient.

There's another inn near the Golden Quay which is 1.5 for 300 (150 with the coupon) so at best you're getting a little extra experience for way more money. The experience curve in this game is hosed.

I took him down around level 60, but it took me over a whole (in-game) day to do so, and when he hits 25% HP he flips the gently caress out and starts attacking so aggressively you can't even get near him without Armiger.

Again, I'm not complaining, I'm just saying it's funny that the English and Japanese dubs went different directions with it.

Someone take these FFXV Roadtrip Replacement codes: Gae Bolg (FFXIV) & Travel Pack: #5N7-B6NP-CCLR Where # is the FF with a protagonist from Balamb Garden. Mage Mashers (FFIX) & Camera Kit: #DE8-CQNR-F3FD Where # is the first letter of Cid's wife's name from FFIX. Blazefire Saber (FFXIII) & Gourmand Set: AT9D-#QNQ-F7GK Where # is the first letter from the final word in this catchy phrase: "Moms are ______!"

In true nerd fashion, I am grinding all of the tech abilities to their highest levels for the biggest crit chance. Last night after a few hours of playing, I was having some weird visual artifacts but only with Ignis's Mark tech. It almost looked like my GPU was overheating, but I couldn't reproduce it with any other abilities. It looked distinctly different from what Mark usually looks like. If it happens again I will try taking a picture with the console's share function. Has anyone else had similar issues or should I be worried about my PS4?
