I love the black panther 'bad review' because it's literally a positive review that just kinda says 'also it's a pity that marvel's big first black main character movie devotes so much time to (in character) politics and such and it feels like he got less badass action fights than others did, which is a shame because the literal first time the MCU sees him he's trying to beat Bucky 'super soldier master assassin' Barnes like a rented mule and that was sweet'. Like you can actually say a lot about how maybe marvel felt they couldn't make their black character too 'violent' even though 'warrior king' is his entire style because of the racial politics involved in mass produced movies... Or you can be angry that people aren't consuming as hard as they should.

The Black Panther 'bad' review actually deserves some side eye because it's scored 3/5 which in any other circumstance would almost certainly be graded as 'good' The exact same thing happened with Lady Bird after it reached the record for highest number of good reviews before a bad one knocked it down from 100% - some reviewer gave it a B+ but actively set it to 'bad' deliberately to knock it down it's RT score. Albeit in that case when they got called out on it they stealth updated their review to C-
