What’s especially baffling is that I don’t recall anything in the movies with them all being covered in glow in the dark green slime?! I could see a post Marshmallow Man explosion deco maybe. But this is just incredibly lazy. The GB line and the Power Rangers one are really strange.

Also Diamond Select did it better with the GITD AND translucent green plastic. Tho that was a RGB set...

I'm more surprised by the GITD, as Hasbro so very rarely makes anything GITD.

The Jokers in Three Jokers all had slightly different facial designs (eyes, nose, mouth) so either it means they've matched the comics or the more likely answer is what you said, "the one that has a crowbar".

Soooooo, having finally caved on the Classified line, Zartan, Destro and Bludd arrived this morning. Only opened Zartan so far but drat, they really nailed him and I like that you can't see any ugly joint pegs peg on him (something that's always put me off other Hasbro 6" stuff like Marvel Legends). Now if they could just do a classic OG style CC, that would be lovely (the current versions are just way too fussy for my liking). Alternatively, the Fred VII armour would also be acceptable.

Yeah the face design of Death in the Family is pretty similar to Killing Joke. I hope it's just different outfits. Death in the Family should be in a Tuxedo with a monocle like on the cover of book four and I assume they would go with the manic hair stand up failed comedian purple suit (unless they do vacation joker again which has been done).

I don't have any DC toys, but I would get both of those since those are the two Joker comics I still own from when I was a little kid (opposed to a grown man child of course).

Take anything he says with a grain of salt, he's been running around every major toy forum crying doom and gloom about Mattel and MOTU claiming they sold the franchise to Universal and they lose the toy rights in 2023. He keeps persisting in this despite being corrected a dozen times by people actually working at and for Mattel.

I am all in for Merrick, the archive Clone, Cobb Vanth, and Leia (photoreal depending). Galen Erso makes an easy birthday gift for my friend who’s nuts about Madds.

I’m shocked they’re doing individual releases for Jyn and Cassian though. We’ve known photoreal updates for the R1 crew were coming for a while now, but I really thought they’d stick them all in some special box set with an extra enticement given how those two in particular were such legendary pegwarmers. I have a feeling you’ll be able grab these on clearance again in a few months.

That Mon-Starr figure looks great but I’m really not into those Silverhawks with the plain plastic look. I’m not sure whether to hold out for a reissue with a better paint job or to repaint them myself… or just skip that line I guess. It’s sad when a Super 7 Ultimate figure looks like poo poo compared to the 80s toys. And I still have the 80s toys…

Definitely listen to Rhyno about Scott, he’s a big time liar.

When he started his YouTube channel last year he went through his list of people he sent review samples for MOTU Classics and sent out a press release with a little passive aggressive “you know if it wasn’t for me, your channel/site wouldn’t be what it is today.”

He’s a scumbag.

Chirrut and Baze were pretty hard to find, but I don’t know if that was because of distribution or genuine demand. All I know is I paid $35 each for mine a couple years ago and the photoreal will have to be Mafex or Figuarts quality for me to be tempted with a double-dip.

Super 7 almost always puts out waves of exactly four figures, and they try to wait until one wave ships to announce another. Their goal is four waves of four per line per year. The head of the company does a lot of interviews, and he said the pace of their releases is very deliberate, and has a lot to do with trying not to overwhelm customers with more toys than they can reasonably afford. Their price points are a little higher than big companies because of their small production runs, so they can’t just crank out a million toys for cheap. They do quality work, though.

My Tifa figure was supposed to arrive yesterday. I had it shipped to a friend's house where the mail is a little more secure, and I told him to keep an eye out. I checked in after work and he said it hadn't shown up. DHL has been super prompt with their deliveries in the past, so I went and double-checked my last email from them... Then facepalmed because it said it would arrive NEXT Tuesday. Stupid.

Then the loving package actually showed up like an hour later. That's DHL for ya, bending spacetime around their delivery vessels and showing up a week ahead of schedule...

Anyway I picked it up today and... Relief. The faces (there are two) look fine. Not as gorgeous and perfect as the prototype photos, but still above typical action figure quality. No funky crooked eyes. I'll snap a picture or two once I have her set up for display.

I actually never unpacked the other two, I was in the middle of a move when Barret shipped and had packed Cloud back in his box, and I still haven't set up all the shelves in my toy room the way I want... Anyway I figure I'll open all three tonight and get some nice poses going.
