I'm looking for an old animated gif called something to the effect of "An evening modding the SomethingAwful Forums with El Pinto Grande", which featured a King of Fighters character yelling "What the gently caress are you faggots doing?!" and then throwing the computer, followed by the word "End," "Fin" or some such variant. I might have the wrong mod from the title.

There was a website where a group of guys reviewed pop culture garbage that I remember seeing around 1999-2000. Someone linked to it on an old community that's since died (Weirdopalooza, now the blog RetroCrush). The articles I most remember were: - A guy found an old can of the bubblegum-flavored Hi-C in a filthy convenience store and made it. It actually came in a tin can and was congealed. - Possibly the same guy bought an Ultimate Warrior costume on Ebay and wore it around. I remember a picture of him wearing it, smoking a cig, looking chill. - A review of all the boy bands in which the reviewer acted as if he really had no clue who they were and gave them all funny names based on what they looked like. Justin Timberlake was "a shorn sheep" and Lance Bass was "Guile from Street Fighter's gay son."

It wasn't those short stories that were being written, this one was practically a novella. It had a young guy who got beaten up by his stepfather for being a whiny brat, his friend who sold steamflowers in the big city, and so on. And Johnny Five Aces, of course. E: And one more thing. It was an article about spies during the Cold War, and basically portrayed them as being mostly paranoid delusionals who made up plots, not because they were trying to justify their jobs or something, but because they actually believed the crazy stuff. I think it was written by one of those spies turned spy novel authors. Project1 fucked around with this message at 14:49 on Feb 7, 2013 |

I remember a video from maybe a couple years back, it showed some really drunk guy at a a festival one time. He kept stumbling around and trying to hit on girls. I think in one of the scenes it shows him sliding in a ton of mud while people cheer for him. It was decent video quality; recorded with a phone or something like that. The guy had a name though, it was in the title.

I'm looking for a video that I believe is a commercial of some sort for Playstation 1 or 2. The visuals remind me of the kind you'd see during a Metal Gear Solid cutscreen, and the voice over was of a woman discussing how dangerous the Playstation was, I think on a voicemail. That's all I can really remember about it, and I've been searching for creepy Sony / Playstation ads for a while now and can't find it. I believe it was once mentioned on Cracked but that didn't narrow down the search at all. I'll keep looking but any help would be appreciated! Edit: Ah, I found it! It took forever. For anyone else interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDttY8-fLLk It's a bit NSFW at parts. Cetaphobia fucked around with this message at 23:03 on Feb 9, 2013 |

I really hope this wasn't asked for earlier in the thread. There was a song which I think was made by someone on SA. The lyrics for the song included "Somebody told me that the trick for beating zelda was to stick my dick into und umbrella." Googling "Stick my dick into und umbrella" gives me nothing!

Several years ago there was a website where some person made up a bunch of things (something comparable to bigfoot being real, if memory serves me right) and presented it in a scientific format as a sort of social experiment to see if people would believe something that is pretty bogus if presented, on the surface, scientifically. I also recall that even after it was revealed that the site was entirely fictitious there were still people convinced what it claimed was true. There may have also even been high school students who were asked to write an essay on the website as part of the experiment. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I've been trying to find this story I read for years. Edward James Olmos turned up at some event, and he was telling people how Stand and Deliver was the most important film of our times, and everyone loved it. He also did some other weird things which I don't remember. He generally came across as some kind of nutcase, though maybe he was just drunk or something.

This one's from just the other day, but I honestly can't remember it. Someone uses the word 'Theocracy', and someone else challenges them, saying they probably don't even know what that word means. Either the first or second dude (by making fun of the first dude, probably) mention that it's a religion based around Theo from The Cosby Show.

I'm having the hardest time finding this video I remember from a few years ago. It was a prank "show" (more like a 5 minute skit) where a couple of guys (main guy was black, I think?) would scare people. It was really short and had someone scaring people in a bar, then a bowling alley, then a cemetery. I remember the transitions being in red and screaming. But it was more funny than anything else. Does anyone remember anything like that?

What game involved buying and or building ships to take over islands that the goons were really into. Your basic unit was a p-2. People were taking the game way to seriously so the goons came in and messed it up for everyone a lot of griefing and trolling followed.

A surreal video that was linked from the forums some time ago, possibly goon made. A woman speaking to the camera in a creepy voice while sitting inside at a table in front of a bowl of food, there is fire in the background. At the end of the video she faceplants into the bowl. Around 8 or 9 years ago, I saw this hilarious clip of Bill Gates on a Japanese talk show, probably on Ebaumsworld or some site like that. I remember him being really bewildered by what was going on, particularly when a teenager starts talking to him about his "strong muscles in stomach and breast." He lets out a high-pitched laugh at some point and the audience laughs at his laugh. Does anyone remember this? I can't find it on Youtube, although I think I saw a thread on a message board about his visit. He plays an XBox with some of the kids toward the end, so it can't be much earlier than 2001.

There was a customised porn video made (think 'Swap.avi' but on a much more innocent scale) with a series of surreal, unconnected scenes, with little to no pornographic content. One of them had a woman sitting alone at a table, reciting philosophical concepts and looking for her keys. Another had a woman in her underwear confess to another woman in her underwear that she was, in fact, her biological father. It was perhaps the most remarkable thing I have ever seen. Anyone have any idea what it is?
