In Italy boxed wine is perfectly good stuff, at least. The boxes are cheaper to manufacture and better at keeping the wine fresh. Same way screw tops are superior to corks.

Surprisingly cheap wine can be good. I'm enjoying a Spanish bottle of red that cost maybe $9 at World Market. I think the only truly bad wines would be stuff like Night Train or MD 20/20.

This is a thing, they form and bake parm into a bowl shape and serve pasta inside, it's actually pretty old.

I have something similar - I find any pasta + a cheesy or creamy sauce makes me retch. Which is a bit weird because I like these things separately and am not a picky eater in general. It probably dates back to having to eat my mother's terrible 'spaghetti carbonara' AKA 'eggy blurk' when I was a child - even the smell of that stuff used to make my stomach turn over.
