At this point, post-Don Brash National would have an awesome track record on race stuff, much better than Labour, if it weren't for that pesky inequality that they refuse to acknowledge fully. Like seriously, we went from Labour's Foreshore & Seabed and Urewera Raids, and Don Brash's Orewa speech, to a settlement with Tuhoe over te Urewera. No because I don't watch 3 News, but it's kind of hilarious that it took only two years for Gower to go from going out of his way to frame the Green's foreign ownership policy in anti-Asian terms to browbeating Labour over their foreign ownership policy already being framed as anti-Asian.

Have you nerds been into NZ prisons before partial privatisation? I mean my own personal point of view is that incarceration for profit is morally dubious, but it wasn't the perfect shining system under govt control either. So...

Prisoners have become doctors behind bars, then become sympathisers to the incarcerated but with academic weight to support them. Which is great as we are supposedly an advanced civilisation or some poo poo but you know, killing people, stealing poo poo that ain't yours or beating the poo poo out of people ain't cool and has an effect that requires at least a sense of adequate justice. But others who come out of prison with formal education are less likely to cave someone's head in for doing something trivial so who gives a poo poo if they get it for free.
