I'm trying to find a song for someone. It's from the 90's, a Goo Goo Dolls type band, only thing she can remember is the beat goes " na na na na naaaaaaa"

Something slightly vague, and for that I apologize. All I can recollect off this track is that the title is something like "Dancing Under the City Lights in the Fall" or something akin to that, possibly something like "Driving Down Under The City Lights". The only way I can describe it is ambient with a beat. If I had to compare it to band I'd say it would be mostly like an upbeat Boards of Canada. Again, I apologize for the vagueness.

- A song by Mike Oldfield. - In its music video skies are going by in the background meanwhile shadows of people are singing in the foreground. - I cannot remember if the lyrics included something about flying, but it is definitely a possibility.

I'm looking for a Cure song I heard. It's got a fairly long intro then some singing, and the one thing I remember about the intro is that it had echoes in it of one of their more popular songs, possibly Just Like Heaven. Ring any bells?

Thank you, this has been bugging me for over two years now, and it's nice to finally get an answer. edit: What's kind of funny is that the main synth line didn't play when I opened the midi on Ubuntu, and thinking about someone trying to guess the song based on that drum beat would be nothing but an exercise in hilarious frustration. crazyfish fucked around with this message at 19:43 on Aug 20, 2009 |

Spring 2008 in London, I heard this song on the radio a bunch of times and now I can't find it to save my life. It had the repeated lyric "since you been gone" and the singer was male. The song had a light, upbeat, summery feel to it. Maybe a tiny bit reggae or latin.

This is a bit of a long shot, but I am looking for a song with the following lyrics. My friend claims it was all over the radio in San Diego in 2000 and sounded vaguely like Blink 182. Frankly, it sounds terrible, but I would like him to shut up about it. 'Cali is like the sunshine in the valley without rain. I want to shoot it in my membrane, I can't maintain without you here. Cali and me is like a Mexican beer, Corona you're my Sharona, the place where my mother cried, 'cause my brother died and dried tears never feel like leaving. So I'm going back to Cali, going back to Cali, I said I'm going back to cali where the sunshine set is making me sweat, I shed blood on this turf called mother Earth.

There's this song I've been hearing on the radio recently. Female vocals with a big crescendo that goes "Oooh-ooh, oooh-ooh" and one of the lines of lyrics seems to be "Let'cher hair down [...] Listen to the beat go doma dome". It's all sung in a rather high pitch, by one? singer with a few backups. Unfortunately "Listen to the beat go" isn't getting me anything on google, so it seems I have that wrong? Sigh. I'm sorry this is vague but I am dying for a remix of 'harder better faster stronger' by daft punk. I hear it in clubs lately but not up until the past few weeks, so I assume it's new. I live in Newcastle, Australia so it's possible it's not brand new and it took awhile to get to me or some such. Arggh I can't really describe it, I haven't noticed them say the actual harder better faster stronger words it seems to focus on "work it takes us,... do it makes us" and later on I hear "never over" over and over. Man that is such a bad description, I guess any new really happy remixes would be appreciated. It's really really happy and light hearted... it sounds I guess hopeful is how I would describe it. I'm sorry that's so very massively vague. Feel free to laugh me out of the forum it isn't the neptunes remix or diplos work is never over.

I should remember this, but I don't. Electronic music song, french house/funk/disco in the vein of Justice/Daft Punk. Notable for it's music video: A supermodel gets out of a car and starts walking through the streets of Paris completely naked. A third of the way through another supermodel takes over, and then a third towards the end. The "naughty bits" are covered by black bars which display the lyrics of the song. Great song, great video. EDIT: Found it ( if your employer doesn't like nude supermodels covered by black censor bars) the fucked around with this message at 16:25 on Aug 24, 2009 |
