My favorite film! Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman give two of the best performances ever. Tim Robbins sorta subdued but optimistic outlook on life while in prison was inspiring in spite of all the troubles he goes through in the movie. Morgan Freeman was equally impressive as Red, street-wise convict who befriends Andy and provides insightful narration for the movie. The plot is epic like - it follows Andy's life from his incarceration til years later when he is "released." The climax is just great story and the conclusion leaves you with a big freaking grin. 5.5
