The above posters who said you should love this movie for all the wrong reasons are completely spot on. Although, the film's great because it tries to make you love it for the wrong reasons rather than just being so far beyound absolute poo poo that it's hilarious. It never takes itself seriously. I first saw this movie when I was 13 and thought it was absolute crap because I came expecting a serious space action movie. Upon viewing it again nearly a decade later it's so much more enjoyable. I can't help but sit back and laugh at how overdone everything is, literally every aspect of the movie. If you can't laugh at this movie you're not getting it. Oh, and I have to agree with everyone above, it rocks as a drinking movie. 4/5
