I finally caught this movie the other night, and I was pretty disappointed. It had a lot of things going for it: Zaphod, Ford, and Arthur were all great and I wouldn't change a thing about their characters. Much of the humor remained intact, and some of the new things added were also very funny. The improbability drive was very well done. But the bad, oh god the bad. The whole love story between Arthur and Trillian basically ruined the movie for me. The plot was changed around to the point where it didn't make sense sometimes. I won't go into a nerdrage or anything, but... okay I'll stop there. This movie had great potential. For the first 20-30 minutes, I loved it, but I have no idea what the producers were thinking when they made this movie. I do not recommend watching this movie if you are a fan of the books. If you haven't read the books, you could watch it I guess, but it's not very good. 2/5
