Look, its a baby R6, in all its "I'll only do 84mph downhill while banging off the limiter!" glory.

Hopefully going to get some better pictures over the weekend from around the TT track, if the weather plays nice.

I want the red and white one (or the yellow) and commute the poo poo out of it, but I think NZ is just getting the blue and black ones.

I see a guy on the yellow one almost daily on my way home, they are rather nice. I wanted the '08 blue, but couldn't get hold of one so had to settle for the white/red. The '09 blue comes with silver wheels and looks horrible.

Perfect to commute on for me, only 10miles each way on what are pretty much country roads, with barely any room to get over 70mph.

Are NZ getting the 150cc versions? or the 125's? I think India gets the 150's, I'd guess they have slightly better pull above 70. The 125 just stops pulling once you change up into 6th, 5th will get you to about 70-71 without too much trouble though before hitting the limiter.

I'm not sure on most of the settings we used really, we just played around with them until they stopped being blurry.

The autofocus was working out quite well for individual shots at a particular point but when we tracked and took multiple shots they'd start going out of focus. So the first 1-2 shots were fine and the rest out of focus. I guessed that would have been because of the autofocus setting up at the start of the shots and then being 'off' as we tracked. Then again it was my first time really using an SLR so was a learning experience.

I did seem to get a few better results at Bray Hill today (160mph straight with the bikes coming towards us) by manually focusing on say at 50-75ft area of the road with a larger apature, around f8-11 then just taking a few shots tracking along that area as they came down the hill. I'll find out how they came out when I get them :)

The lens was 150mm, and about 95% of the shots were took at between 100-150mm

Guy Martin rocks, definitely deserves to win something this year, and has the bike's/team behind him to do it I reckon. Just hope he didn't use up his lifetimes worth of luck last year.

Sad news today/this morning from last nights TT sidecar practice session.

This is Sidecar outfit #15 ridden by Bill Currie, 67 and his passenger Kevin Morgan, 59.

Within 15 minutes of me taking this photo at the bottom of Bray Hill they crashed at Ballacrye, red flagging the session. We didn't find out until this morning but it turned out to be fatal for them both.

Sad times at the TT already :(

and here's a few choice shots from the solo session:
