From the Twist the Throttle link, toward the end of this video you see a man at the MV Agusta factory who has the job of sitting on each and every bike and revving the poo poo out of it.

When I had my accident so many people stopped that they started shoeing them away.

I think they just wanted to see me die though.

God drat I wish those were real. Has a V4 2-stroke motorcycle ever been produced?
edit: I mean a production bike, a homologation special or something. GP bikes don't count.

Just have all service done, or do it yourself, at the recommended intervals. DO NOT put off changing the timing belts.

It was a beautiful day in Seattle, so Grizled and I decided to go for a ride.

So I got my gear on...

While he waited...

Then 'walked' over and hopped on the back :(

Maybe in another month I can take my own bike again.

Crutching down the street in full leathers got a few 'wtf' looks.

I didn't take enough pictures to post a project thread, but my ZX6R is back from the dead.

It looks darker in the video than it really was. This was before I finished rebuilding the muffler, so it doesn't have one.

The rear subframe twisted off into two separate pieces. I replaced the subframe, left rearset bracket, right passenger peg bracket, rear axle, turn signals, and mirrors.

I put on 'Universal Fit' ebay mirrors with integrated turn signals. They don't line up flush with the fairing and look like crap, but whatever the bike doesn't even have a tail fairing.

I was able to order a new end cap for the muffler from Jardine for 30 bucks, I just had to hack up the old one to fit it on. It doesn't line up with the exhaust hanger anymore because the internals are tweaked, but once again, whatever.

I'm probably the only person to have broken the evaporative emissions control system (shattered charcoal canister) and fixed it instead of removing it. I used glue, sandwich bags, and electrical tape to put the canister back together. Real classy.
And I did it all while standing on one leg.

For those that didn't see it.

If you've never seen a motorcycle almost run over a fish before, well, here ya go.

Also before accusations fly I just want to point out that a wide angle lens pointed downward exaggerates the perception of speed when I goose it through first and second on a wide street with no moving cars or people and unrestricted visibility. So, yea.

You should point that thing up a little more. It's a little weird only being able to see four feet in front of the bike in the video.

Also, that was soooo loving reckless you must have been going like 35mph, that's just crazy!

You can if you hang off right. When most people think that they are hanging off right, they're not. They rotate and twist around the tank, and end up sticking their knee towards the front of the bike rather than out to the side like an outrigger. If you can't do it, there are 2 reasons: Your throttle control isn't good enough to hold the bike steady, or you're not hanging off right. That is it...you only need about 20 degrees of lean if you hang off like a monkey, and most people hit that going to the store and having fun on a freeway onramp.

Rotating your hips around the tank is exactly what I was told to do when I went to a racing school.
