I doubt it was the ecotec, the video was from sweden and it is a US only option.

The micrometer jig was pretty :coal:, but the rest of that was just basic 3-5 axis arms. Labor is very expensive in japan, so companies tend to automate anything they possibly can.

I have this on DVD, it is incredible.

It's important to note: there's no trickery behind this scene. no wires or CG that is. They actually built a car that can do all that.

It's really a shame H.B. Halicki died while filming this. He really had some amazing ideas when it came to car chases.
