Every time I start thinking about taking my car down there, I hear more stories about all the spots cops set up radar and tickets and whatnot and it gets me disinterested again.

I know I've activated it once when I didn't intend to but it certainly didn't end in disaster or anything.

I honestly thought that "hellaflush" was a term people like us came up with to mock people who actually like that stuff. I had no idea that's what they actually call it themselves. Dragstrips I assume don't encourage you to continue accelerating after the first 1/4 mile. I just measured and the local one here only has 3/4 of asphalt total, while airport runways are about 1.3 miles. Not that they should be doing that on public roads, but rather they're trying to achieve something that isn't legally possible anywhere except maybe that Nardo ring?
