http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q07yMkBRD5E More Bonneville fun. 1. Don Vesco's Turbinator -- quiet, uneventful 2. Al Teague's Spirit of '76 -- awesome doppler, sounds like the Devil himself after it passes by and shifts into 4th. Nothing like a nitromethane-fed blown Keith Black Hemi. I love that car. 3. unknown electric streamliner, I think it's the Buckeye Bullet.

CarForumPoster posted:This is really cool but I am so distracted by the welding on the A piller. The long running "lightened" triangulation on the bas is great and looks plenty strong but the welding is so inconsistent and not straight. It's like they did a great job crafting the individual parts and then they're like " yea have the new guy weld it, who cares" It's definitely steel, likely mild steel. The welds don't look terrible, just a bit amateur. Looks like he had his wire feed too fast and/or voltage too low. (on the assumption it was GMAW/MIG) It'll probably hold but it's definitely not as strong (or as pretty) as it could be.

I was a bit too busy running around doing motorcycle safety/tech inspection. Hopefully the salt is better next year.
