Yeah a paint job like that is about 3-4 times thicker than regular ones, they do a lot of thin layers instead of just 3 thick coats of primer, base and clear. I've been looking at a shitload of videos and I really want to start painting cars but I'm so low on cash right now, I don't even have a car myself right now (that'll be rectified when I get paid later this month, but still).

Well I live in an apartment so I don't have anywhere to paint and no I don't have any hardware so I'd have to get all that too. Thinking about getting some cheap airbrush gear to practice small scale though. He turned that into a whole business. Really good guy, his brother Ryan is also very AI and they're both very involved in the STL car scene. They both also really like their Mazdas. He seems like a nice guy, good to know it isn't just an act.
