Middle lap belts were around since the 70s in Australia, the three point version only became popular in the mid 90s, later for hatch backs.

I used to love Roadkill and enjoyed some episodes of Roadkill Garage, but since it has moved from YouTube I ignore it now. Plus I get conflicting information on whether MTOD works in Australia, so even if I was going to pony out the cash I can't be sure whether it will work here or not.

While it isn't a great collectable car, or desired even by Mitsubishi fans, I am enjoying this Aussie automotive teacher's series of videos on fixing up a 1981-ish Mitsubishi Sigma. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UozIVgKfI6E Peter has also done series on rebuilding some old Falcons, Toyota Starlet, a few British cars, lawn mowers, motor cycles and a Plymouth Fury A bonus for me is that he is local to me so a lot of the businesses he goes to I can use as well

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xx0NTuehlw A comparison through the Australian Outback and country between the Holden Camira (Holden's J car, a piece of poo poo) and the Mitsubishi Sigma, who was ruling the 4 cylinder roost in Australia at the time. Hosted by Evan Green, Gavin Green's dad and includes Australian journalists like Peter Robinson (Wheels magazine editor at the time), Noel Tuckey (Bill Tuckey's brother and aka George Ambrose who wrote the Dirty Wheels column in Wheels), Phil Scott and photographer Warwick Kent. I remember owning the Wheels mag that this comparison was in. I don't know if I still own it
