I'll agree on the passing under yellow, and yes, he's being a cock, but it seems a pretty clear cut "better driver vs better car" case. The viper had at least 4 solid opportunities for what should have been an EASY pass, and he backed off. Either something was wrong with his brakes/suspension or he's simply not as talented as the guy in the Porsche.

Watch the long straight. The Viper is a faster car than the Porsche, no doubt, and he didn't get past him on a straight. I can understand backing off in a corner to stay out of the Armco, but on a long straight, he should have been able to pass.

The guy in the Porsche, though, did exactly what I was thinking the Viper should have done - brake a little later, pass on entry, and stay in front.

Both of them passed under yellow, so while I agree that it's wrong, it doesn't disprove my theory that the guy driving the Porsche was a better driver.

Edit to clear some things up:

These are all taken from between 09:00 and 09:40 - basically, the end of the straight - and are sequential from earliest to latest.

This is not a yellow flag:

This is not a BMW, and they're not yellow-flagged, but it's the only car that I see them pass fast enough to justify your speed differential remark:
