My grandpa has one of these (now with 16hp twin instead of the original 10hp briggs) and it seriously owns. I always thought "coot" was just a nickname until now. They're really the perfect ATV.

They can:
-cross water
-run over brush and even trees with no damage to vehicle or passengers
-pull a shitload with the absurdly low gearing
-float over really loose mud unless you load them down with a lead bricks
-protect against rifle rounds (from underneath only)

Oh yeah, and they are articulated and some have 4-wheel steering. About the only thing they aren't good for is freeway driving.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any videos of anyone running over 30' birch trees and getting nearly vertical like my uncle once enjoyed.

Looks something made in Garry's mod.

Is it possible that the owner could have done something to gently caress the car up? It seems unlikely that the dealership would have spent so much time and money fixing it if he had done this, but these problems seem absurd, and everybody has been really quick to jump to this guy's defense after hearing his story.
